Accountable for ensuring Engineering fulfils its AOC obligations and for building a high performing and sustainable team that is capable of supporting current and future business needs. This is achieved by delivering excellent programme execution, leading quality oversight and by driving continuous improvement across the business.
Overall responsibility for the Design Organisation, including delegation of design staff and management positions, all design related activities and for ensuring full compliance to HKAR-21 is maintained.
Responsible for the overall induction of all new aircraft into the fleet, aircraft retirements, leased fleet management and lease returns (including technical contract negotiation) and the delivery of all new cabin products for the entire Cathay Pacific Group Airlines.
Producing supportability design requirements for A380 systems. Leading a team of 4 engineers responsible for setting system operational reliability objectives and maintainability studies for A380 fuel and landing gear systems.
Responding to airlines technical queries concerning Airbus fuel systems. In-service events and data analysis to identify potential impacts to airworthiness, reliability, cost etc. and delivering technical solutions where required. Providing airlines with on-site technical assistance for trouble shooting
Airbus Service Bulletin approval as an authorised signatory under JAR21.263 Liaising with the DGAC with respect to Service Bulletin approval and responding to airline questions and launching revisions if required.
