I started my working experience at a local Fareway grocery store and from there I moved into a personal lawn care business that I continue to run. During high school I graduated with honors and received awards from the basketball team and from being in band. I also took college classes through a local community college to get a head start on college while I was still in high school. When moving to college I chose the University of Iowa and joined both the Tippie school of business as a direct admit and then the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences as an International Relations major. I joined the University Honors Program as a freshman. The main organization I am currently participating in is the Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps at Iowa. I hope to gain a commission in the U.S. Air Force as I graduate from college.
At Information Technology Services I am responsible for helping students and faculty of the university of Iowa in solving tech related problems. ITS also ensures that all the services that the university provides are working correctly for all users. In the day to day I answer questions and solve user specific issues.
At Dunham's my responsibilities were to process incoming freight, stock inventory, check customers out, and to set the floor for seasonal sales. I had to directly translate the needs of corporate management and local management to make the best displays possible. Customer support was a huge part of my job at Dunham's as I was dealing with returns, sales, and layaways all at the same time.
My main responsibility at Laird was to scan papers and archive them in Laird's personal server. This was done to move files from a physical location to a media based one.
My duties at Fareway included stocking, handling money, checking customers out, and working with produce. I also worked during the COVID-19 pandemic and was charged with cleaning commonly used parts of the store.
