Key achievements: - From scratch development of the first physical product trading desk, with coal as primary focus, in an Australian commercial bank. Also developed the coal futures and Iron Ore futures trading desks. - Embraced the ANZ Pan-Asia banking strategy, and developed new customer relationships in South East Asia, positioning the bank to increase its coal industry client base six fold in just three years. - Provided the key resource support in the development of the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) “physically deliverable” coal futures market, launched 2009. Designed the physical delivery mechanism for the ASX, which was the first exchange to offer a physically delivered bulk ore contract. - Developed and implemented all ANZ proprietary contracts and processes for physical commodity trading including logistics management, export processes, and charter party documentation, including laytime calculations. - Represented ANZ in speaker roles at the Annual McCloskey’s Asian Coal Conference, held in Bali, Indonesia, 2009.
