First and foremost, I've always considered myself an economist. I love studying data, trends, and people. I fueled this love for economics in college. Two months before graduating in 2007, my father taught me what an appraiser does for a living. I was immediately hooked! I took no time finding an amazing mentor. I'm one of the youngest active designated appraisers and certified general real estate appraiser in Texas. My ambitions drove me to obtain both certification and MAI designation in the shortest time possible. The state certification allows me to perform any appraisal valuation of real estate for federally and non-federally related transactions. And, according to the Appraisal Institute, "the MAI designation is held by individuals who are experienced in the valuation and evaluation of commercial, industrial, residential and other types of properties, and who advise clients on real estate investment decisions." I'm also an investor, broker, and a property tax arbitrator registered with the Comptroller.
