DIPG remains one of the deadliest childhood cancers, with no standard treatment and little improvement in survival for decades. I'm working to change that. On track to completing my B.Eng. in Bioengineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering at NTU Singapore, while co-researching a treatment for glioblastoma at ABIC Hong Kong. Working degree-after-degree towards becoming a clinician-scientist focused on paediatric brain cancers. Outside the lab, I'm establishing Project Caridonum – an initiative that promotes "joy in the present, a cure in the future" while raising awareness of paediatric cancer and its research in Singapore. At the heart of my pursuits, I aim to bridge clinical excellence in Singapore, research drive in Hong Kong, and translational ambitions in Mainland China because a cure won't arrive on the day we start. It will arrive on the day we refuse to stop. Aspiring clinician‑scientists: let's connect.
Childhood cancer steals too much - joy and a cure shouldn't be optional. Building joy today, funding a cure for tomorrow. Still in its early days! Any collaboration or support is welcome. With recognition and support from NTU Mr Tay Tee Peng Distinguished Undergraduate Student Award 2026
• Co‑investigation on a novel TTFields-producing microelectrode array (MEA) for recurrent glioblastoma across 8 preclinical trials • Developed a Python algorithm that automated tumour volume quantification from >6,000 brain slices, reducing analysis time by 95% • Independent study on neuroinflammatory response to our implants; preliminary findings may suggest a potential dual therapeutic effect. •End‑to‑end tissue processing: cryoprotection, cryosectioning, IHC, fluorescence imaging, and data analysis
Member of a student-led medical technology innovation group hosted by HKUST School of Engineering. Working on a prototypic, 1-year project that streamlines dental data acquisition and management in Bohol, Philippines for the data-driven expansion of PHILOS Health's humanitarian efforts in serving the health needs of the underprivileged in the Philippines.
• Executed CIC and EIS analyses on platinum/gold 4‑microelectrode arrays to benchmark epidural implant performance pre‑implantation. •Investigated neuroinflammation response in murine brain from one animal trial; facilitated signal quantification and analysis. • Collaborated in establishing 4 SB28 GBM models and delivered 3 research presentations.
