➸ Beko Europe emerged from the closure of the Whirlpool transaction in Europe, boasting a workforce of over 20,000 employees and a production capacity of approximately 24 million home appliance products annually across 11 production sites. Beko B.V. holds a majority stake of 75% in the newly established company, with the remaining 25% owned by Whirlpool Corporation ➸ In my role as GM/VP of East Europe for the Whirlpool, Indesit, and Hotpoint brands, I oversee the complete P&L for the 21 countries within the region, which collectively generate a turnover exceeding 500 million Euros and employ nearly 300 staff members. My exceptional team and I work tirelessly to delight customers and consumers while ensuring profitable growth for the business
Along with many other tasks, I manage a diverse Region consisting of 93 countries, 400 staff members, and a €740M budget, representing 25% of Whirlpool EMEA's sales turnover. I am tasked with overseeing Monthly and Quarterly P&L outcomes utilizing robust management systems across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and Manufacturing Teams. One of my key assignments in this role is to devise and execute succession plans and talent recruitment strategies to enhance performance and cultivate key talents in critical roles, emphasizing diversity in my 50% female-led management team encompassing four nationalities. My top achievements within this role are the following: • Executed additional 150K units and 30M EUR turnover by the end of 2023 by addressing business challenges in the Middle East and Africa through effective utilization of regional office support for product, regulatory, and legal matters. • Achieved significant 20M EUR price/margin realization in 2023 and contributed 30% to EMEA's overall performance, despite 12% industry contraction and high promotional pressure by spearheading the execution of a strategic plan in Central Europe. • Acknowledged as a distinguished leader in EMEA for Engagement and People Index by demonstrating skill in leading cohesive teams aligned with business goals and fostering a strong sense of unity and dedication.
During this time period, I directed the Central Europe Cluster to establish profitable businesses and boost rapid growth in the EMEA region. I supervised operations across 13 countries, including overseeing 260 staff members and €540M budget. I empowered lower-tier employees and decentralized decision-making processes. I facilitated the implementation of the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) model in Poland, whilst overseeing organizational setup, online platform deployment, marketing initiatives, logistics, and business analytics. Below listed are my key achievements within this role: • Achieved notable 30%+ year-over-year profit growth in 2021 by steering organization through the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. • Reduced costs by €1M annually by restructuring organization, whilst maintaining operational efficiency. • Enhanced trade partnerships, improved e-commerce capabilities, and made strategic supply chain decisions to sustain profitability in 2022. • Doubled market share by the end of 2023 and achieved 20%+ turnover increase despite 20% industry contraction by supporting Ukraine during the 2022 war crisis, assisting local teams in overcoming personal challenges, and making decisive business moves.
In this role, I additionally led Netherlands operations from July 2019 post achievements in Belgium and Luxembourg. I managed synergy identification and revamped commercial strategy. I supervised 210 employees and managed €150M budget to increase operational efficiency and financial performance. I established leadership succession scheme and organizational structure for the Benelux area in readiness for the upcoming global position transition. My top achievements within this role are the following: • Decreased €700K in SGA expenses by executing organizational setup and talent evaluation for the Netherlands. • Enhanced organizational effectiveness by capitalizing on market synergies and strengths. • Achieved initial year-on-year uplift in operating profit for the Netherlands during the fourth quarter of 2019 post-2017.
