As an expert in sustainability communication and Partner at Brunswick in Frankfurt, Andrea Maibaum has over 20 years of experience in strategic communications for clients from various sectors in Germany, Brussels and London. As part of the Global Climate Hub at Brunswick, she advises companies on all aspects of sustainability communications and strategic positioning. Society, customers, employees, politicians and the capital market now expect companies to make a determined and ambitious contribution to combating climate change and other global challenges. Andrea helps companies to understand these changing requirements and to incorporate them into their sustainability strategy and communication. She advises companies on how to raise their sustainability profile and how best to communicate their ambitions and actions in this area - from a sustainability day to media positioning to attending a UN climate conference. Before joining Brunswick, Andrea worked for FGS Global in Frankfurt for more than a decade. She was instrumental in building the firm's ESG practice in Germany and advised companies and financial institutions on various aspects of strategic positioning in the sustainability space. Most recently, she led the European ESG team. Prior to that, Andrea worked for six years at the strategic communications agency Portland (formerly G+ Europe) in Brussels and London, specialising in European energy and environmental policy. Andrea studied law and art history in Würzburg, Padova (Italy) and Munich and holds a Master's degree in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (UK).
