My expertise lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence, software development, medical devices, digital health, and venture creation. I hold a PhD from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) and have experience as both a founder and executive at startup companies. In the past, I have co-founded a medtech company called Intento, which I led to acquisition and through integration into the MindMaze Group. Our work at Intento earned us multiple awards, including the prestigious Swiss Medtech Award. I also served as Chief Technology Officer at Biospectal, a Swiss and US-based startup developing a digital health solution for monitoring blood pressure.

At Intento we developed and marketed solutions for the rehabilitation of impaired stroke patients. Intento was fully integrated in MindMaze in early 2022. - Led the team on product development, clinical, and pre-commercial activities, reporting to the Head of M&A of MindMaze (parent company). - Achieved CE-marking of two products (Intento PRO & Intento WEAR) according to MDD, in collaboration with the quality & regulatory team from MindMaze (ISO 13485, EN 60601-1, 60601-1-2, 60601-1-6, 60601-2-10, EN 62304, EN 14971). - Devised Intento's business plan and commercial strategy, orchestrated pre-commercialization activities, including designing and running market surveys, product field tests, and testing product revenue models. - Achieved first sales in UK, Germany, and Switzerland in collaboration with local key account managers, and trained customer success team on product use & sales.
- Co-founded Intento in 2016 and led the company from inception to exit in 2018 to the MindMaze group - Secured 1.4M CHF in funding to support company operations, including a large Innosuisse grant - Human-centered product design & architectural design of the full software stack, including embedded software and mobile app - Recipient of 14 awards, including the prestigious Swiss Medtech Award in 2016 - 4 patent applications
- Project management for CTI (Innosuisse) feasibility project - Received EPFL Innovation grant (Innogrant) for translational project "Intento" - R&D Engineering for a novel stroke rehabilitation neuroprosthetic device
- Collaborated on the development of MetallicArt, an anti-counterfeit technology and software to hide patterns in paper documents mixing standard inks and metallic inks - Hardware development of a planar gonio-spectrophotometer to enable precise laboratory measurement of material spectral properties
