I currently work at Javerbaum Wurgaft Hicks Kahn Wikstrom & Sinins, P.C., where I support a partner and an associate attorney in handling various aspects of divorce, custody, and domestic violence cases. I am proficient in preparing and filing legal documents, maintaining calendars and deadlines, communicating with clients and courts, and conducting research and discovery. I am also a duly commissioned notary public and a certified bridal consultant, which demonstrate my versatility and attention to detail. In January 2023, Ceconi & Chiefetz, LLC joined the firm of Javerbaum Wurgaft et al as their Family Law Division. The former C&C attorneys and staff continue to work as a team at their Summit, NJ office as an addition to JW’s other offices throughout New Jersey, in New York City, and in Atlanta, GA. JW is noted for its strength in serving the litigation and transactional needs of its clients. When combined with the C&C team, we will have approximately 85 attorneys available to address, in addition to Family Law, other litigation needs. As a Legal Administrative Assistant to a Partner and to an Associate Attorney, my duties continue to include, but are not limited to: • Administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, responding to emails, opening and closing of client files, and greeting clients.• Prepare Retainer Agreements, Case Management Order (CMO), Pleadings, Motions, Custody/Parenting Plans, Subpoenas, etc. – prepare initial drafts for attorney review, send forms, review all related materials with clients and ensure they have a copy, and that the client has reviewed/approved (motions/discovery), organize documents, make filings with courts, and schedule depositions.• Maintain calendar for filing deadlines, conference calls and meetings, depositions, and court hearings – remind attorneys of timelines/deadlines.• Draft discovery requests, including those for document production, interrogatories, admissions, and copies to send the adversary and send interrogatories, notice to produce documentation received from the adversary to the client with instructions and add due dates to the calendar.• Assist clients with completion of Confidential Litigant Information Sheet (CLIS), Certification of Insurance Coverage, and Case Information Statement (CIS) forms.• Follow up on all court related requirements/dates. Send notices to Clients with letter of explanation of court event.
