Andrea Caruso Dalmas is co-founder of Ciszak Dalmas, a Madrid-based design studio established in 2009 together with Alberto Gobbino Ciszak. His practice spans interior architecture, product design, and creative direction, with a strong focus on material research, craftsmanship, and cross-disciplinary experimentation. Over the years, he has led projects in collaboration with international brands such as Aesop, Camper, Hiscox, Loewe, Malababa, Max&Co., and Saffron, among others. In parallel with his professional work, Andrea is actively engaged in academia. He is the Academic Director Master in Interior Design (MDes) at IE School of Architecture and Design in Madrid and has held visiting positions at institutions including HEAD Geneva, ETSAM Madrid, ELISAVA Barcelona, POLYU Hong Kong, and SCU Taipei. His academic contributions include the project Herbarium of Interiors, developed in 2020 with the MAIA program at HEAD Geneva in collaboration with India Mahdavi and Volume magazine. He is also co-founder of La Clinica Design, a furniture brand and creative platform exploring themes of childhood and learning through design and editorial projects. Andrea’s work with Ciszak Dalmas has been recognized with several awards, including the Gold Delta Award by ADI FAD, the Frame Awards shortlist for Interior Design, and inclusion in the AD 100 Spain Selection List. These recognitions reflect the studio’s commitment to thoughtful design, material exploration, and creative innovation across disciplines. Born in Turin, Andrea holds a BA in Industrial Design from Politecnico di Torino and is an alumnus of the European Design Labs MA program in Madrid. Before establishing his own studio, he gained professional experience at international offices including Inga Sempé in Paris, Artemide in Milan, and BRH+ and Pininfarina in Turin, working across product, industrial, exhibition, and interior design.

Ciszak Dalmas studio works in the field of architecture, interior, product design and art-direction. At Ciszak Dalmas we believe in design as a medium to generate new solutions for private, brands and institutions, challenging the conventional rules. Passionate about the design process, our work goes from conceptualizing new spaces to manufacturing new products. Ciszak Dalmas are also founders of La Clinica Design, a Madrid based furniture and object firm. Andrea Caruso is Academic Director of the Master in Interior Design at the IE University and visiting lecturer at various academic institutions. Albert and Andrea have been also holding lectures in an international framework, such as the Biennale di Architettura in Venice, Salone del Mobile in Milan, Experimenta Design in Lisbon and Design Ambassador in Hong Kong.
