I am a finance professional with extensive experience in financial and management accounting, finance processes, and corporate governance. As a team player who is passionate about people, I actively contribute to a collaborative work environment. Currently, I am involved in a variety of projects, focusing on simplifying, standardizing, and automating processes. I am engaged in finance modernization project, implementing key modules of BlackLine to drive process efficiency and innovation within the organization. I hold a degree in Economics and Business Law from Technical University of Ostrava, am ACCA and APM qualified. I am also an enthusiastic Toastmaster.
Representing Finance function while working in an agile manner, engaging and communicating with various stakeholders across the business with the aim to design simplified end-to-end process with governance and improved efficiency.
I led the team across three locations responsible for the simplification, the standardization and the automation of end-to-end record-to-report (R2R) processes. I aim to identify areas for continuous improvement, improve efficiency, establish and govern best practices to free up time for value added activities.
I managed the intercompany team within R2R Competency Centre and I was involved in identifying opportunities to improve processes, to simplify, standardize, centralize and automate them to free up time for value added business partnership activities. I supported the Global Transformation Project to centralize transactional activities and finance processes re-design.
I was a Management Accountant at The Christchurch Press, the largest daily circulating newspaper in the South Island of New Zealand. Reporting to the Finance Manager, I was responsible for completing weekly and monthly financial reports along with trend analysis including commentary around variances. I prepared and processed month-end journals and accruals and conducted supplier account and general ledger reconciliation. I played a key role in the annual budgeting process and prepared complex budget for new financial year using IBM Cognos TM1.
Sawgrass is the European division of Sawgrass Technologies – the manufacturer of dye sublimation inks used for innovative digital printing solutions for various material applications. I joined Sawgrass Europe as an Accounts Assistant in April 2008 and during my employment I progressed from Accounts Assistant through Accounts Manager to a Corporate Services Manager and gained valuable experience in different aspects of the business. I supported the Managing Director with regards to financial reporting, controls and reconciliation and provided budget performance analysis. I was responsible for company’s bank relationship and monitoring liquidity and liaised with UK and US auditors. I started to build experience in managing people and leading a team in this role. My key achievement at Sawgrass was the implementation of new ERP package (Microsoft NAV), from testing, through data import, documenting procedures and training of staff at Sawgrass Europe and later supervised implementation of similar package in two smaller sister companies.
