The PhD has been carried out in collaboration with Infineon Technologies, Villach (A), site where I'm currently working. The topic of the PhD was the experimental characterization, modeling and design of high speed serial data links, having the goal of designing a complete 10Gbps wireline transceiver for automotive electronic control units. During the three years of activity, all aspects of high-speed circuits design have been covered, from system level to transistor level design and RTL design, both at transmitter and receiver side, including channel equalization (FFE, CTLE, DFE).

In this period, I have been involved in the development of the software/firmware for a system which is capable to detect the presence of biomolecules in an electrolytic fluid. In the system's development, various programming languages have been used (C, C++, Verilog), along with various tools (Nios II, Quartus, various tools for C language writing and widgets creation). During this experience, I have improved a previous version of the system, having thus control on the whole system.
