Working in the Amazon Music International team, I was the Finance Business Partner to the Amazon Music India and MENA Directors and their direct reports. I also partnered the EU/ANZ Brand, Acquisition & Engagement Marketing teams. I was responsible for providing the business with metrics and comparatives to understand music listening performance. I was also responsible for providing label and publisher deal analysis to the Content Acquisition Management (CAM) team and reviewing contract terms alongside the legal team. I supported the Marketing teams with budget reviews, marketing spend tracking and new supplier reviews. I also wrote a deep dive paper on the current state of the Amazon music streaming business in India and the opportunities for growth.
Working in the Amazon Transportation Operations Management (TOM) team, I was responsible for providing the business with metrics and comparatives to understand labor productivity. I encouraged continuous improvement and created a platform to highlight risks & opportunities to achieving the annual productivity target. I was responsible for the labor month end close process; including establishing a consistent method of data extraction and review. Providing TOM Leadership with early visibility and control over the labor hours and costs that were being re- classed to TOM. I was also responsible for supporting the business with all labor impacting tech and non tech projects. Ensuring controllership and visibility over the capex spend and opportunities/risks to achieving the planned savings.
Working in the John Lewis Business Cases, Investment Strategy & Initiatives team, I was responsible for producing robust and accurate investment appraisals. I ensured that they had well-defined and clear assumptions; and were supported by insightful financial modelling. I was also responsible for influencing Stakeholders to make the right strategic decisions for the business and for our customers. I produced post investment appraisals, working closely with project Sponsors and other teams within Finance to provide strategic insight into how the investments performed to inform future business decisions.
Working in the International Grocery Home Shopping team, I was responsible for driving the performance of the stores in Central Europe and Asia; maintaining the visibility, profitability and sustainability of our activities. I provided financial insight, guidance & modelling to the team for all projects and breaking operational issues.
