Dr. André Overmeyer is heading the Global Technical Operations Unit at Ferring Pharmaceuticals. An organisation globally present in 14 sites serving customers and patients worldwide with high quality pharmaceuticals. Until early 2026 in various functions in Operations at Merck, lately as Head Global Plant Operations in Life Science, and before responsible for the Integrated Supply Chain Organisation of the Business Unit Display Solution within Electronics. Prior to this he was Site Head of Merck’s largest pharmaceutical production unit in Darmstadt, Germany. With more than 20 years of professional experience in Engineering, Operations, Biotech, Pharma and high speciality Chemicals. He held positions in Plant Management (Darmstadt, Nantong China, Taoyuan Taiwan), Strategy & Operational Excellence (Global Healthcare Operations), Process Development and Engineering (Large Scale Biotech Vevey Switzerland) within Healthcare, Electronics and now Life Science. From 2021 to 2022 he led the Merck Group level Enterprise Priority on Sustainability. He is strong advocate for project management and sustainability as well as people development and teamwork. Bioprocess Engineer from background, he got a Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology, Master in process engineering and completed an executive MBA as well as Lean & Six Sigma Belt and is a certified Coach.
