At the age of 16, got acquainted with the work style of the American theater performing in South Bend/IN, where he attended classes in organizations as John Addams High and Belton with prominent roles in spectacles such as "Arsenic and Old Lace" (Dr. Herman Einstein) and "The Odd Couple" (Manolo). In 2008, participated in the intern program at Walt Disney Co. where he could work in the company's entertainment sector. Studied musical theater at NYFA (New York Film Academy) where he study with professionals that worked in shows as; "Book of Mormon", "Lion King", "Wicked", "Chicago"... Has attended workshops and master classes with professionals such as; Andy Blankenbuehler (In the Heights, 9 to 5, Bring It On: The Musical), Tony Meola (Wicked, Les Miserables), Chris Buck (FROZEN, Tarzan, Pocahontas...), Jeremy Dobrish (Curious George), John Basil (PASSAGES, VANDALS, THREE SISTERS), Grady Barker (Paper Mâché Monkey). Judi Lewis Ockler (Stage Combat).... Gress, along with Allan Deberton, has created the "Broadway Brasil" project, that is going to its fifth edition, developing along with national and international professionals the training of Brazilian youths all over Brazil through workshops and master classes. The project brought renowned international musical theater professionals, such as: Thom Warren (LION KING), Annette Tanner (CEO Broadway Dreams Foundation), Spencer Liff (So you Think you can dance), Alex Newell (Glee), Nick Adams (Priscilla The Queen of the Desert), Craig D'Amico (Annie Get Your Gun), Quentin Earl Darrington (Cats, Once on this Island), Dan Knechtges (Xanadu) Maxx Reed (Michael Jackson dancer). Has worked in the national market with Marcelo Castro (Spring Awakening [BR], Sound of music [BR], Fiddler in the Roof[BR]...), Liliane Secco (Next to Normal [BR]), Lony Lucchesi (Vamp - O Musical), Saulo Vasconcelos (Phantom of the Opera[BR]), Fred Silveira (We Will rock you[BR]), Germana Guilherme (New York, New York[BR]), Beatriz Lucci (Witches of Eastwik[BR]), Isabela Bicalho (Gota D'água), Renata Ricci (Gypsy[BR]), Soraya Ravenle (Ópera do Malandro) and Luciano Andrey (Priscilla the Queen of the Desert).

Produzido como uma versão júnior, Madagascar - A Musical Adventure foi uma produção feita somente para jovens e crianças. Uma adaptação do clássico da DreamWorks que teve uma pequena temporada com 3 apresentações no Theatro José de Alencar. Produced as a JR version, Madagascar - A Musical Adventure was a production made only with youths and children. An adaptation of the DreamWorks’s classic that had a short season with 3 presentations on the José de Alencar Theater.
André Gress é produtor e diretor criativo. Desde criança sempre esteve muito conectado com a arte, que moldou seu lado pessoal e profissional. Ao longo dos anos, desenvolveu sua criatividade e senso crítico que levou a realizar produções e participar de vários projetos ao redor do mundo. Sua engenhosidade e paixão pelo que faz são características e pontos fortes que lhes movem na criação e execução de seus trabalhos. O diretor já produziu diversas obras musicais, dirigiu grandes premiações no Brasil, festivais e eventos temáticos. Além disso, em 2017 abriu a “The Biz, Performing Arts”, a primeira escola temática de teatro musical. Através da escola, foram montados musicais como Godspell, Peixe Grande, Rent, entre diversos outros espetáculos renomados.
