    Buckling of thin cylindrical shells under combined loadings: internal pressure, bending, compression, and transverse shear; under a research grant from Astrium ST and CNES: -Undertook an extensive experimental campaign, with shells having different R/t ratios, and different levels of internal pressure (200+ tests) -Conducted a numerical study using finite element software ABAQUS and STANLAX to evaluate the impact of relevant imperfections for design purposes, better understand the influence of pressure on the buckling behavior and the interaction between different kinds of loading -Suggested new design recommendations against buckling to improve the NASA SP8007.
