I worked around quality, safety, and production. I was responsible to keep machines running and communicate with maintenance, mechanics, and mold techs if something went wrong. I was responsible for paying attention to quality and record it, record downtime and communicate why, pull production, and work safe and be accountable for other employees safety as well. Alot of stacking pallets in finished goods that came out of the lining and molding machine's. I had to make sure the parts weren't defects before I packed them and to communicate if there was a problem. I was praised often for my good work ethic.
After switching back to an operator, I was praised for being the top operator out there and I requested to learn the only department I didn't know that recently consolidated with the other building which was a switch from injection to compression. I started working in the compression sides which is compression molding and lining operator. That department concentrated on safety, quality, and production as well. That being said, I have experience in all departments they had to offer.
I worked as a material handler for a little bit, decided to step down and be an operator again. While I was a material handler I would scan pallets in the system deliver pallets with stand up forklift and walkie depending on the situation. I would wrap pallets with auto machine and move them pallets to it's location in warehouse or production just whichever it was called for. I would pick up finished foods pallets and take them to the back either to scan in the system for stock in a location or if the truck driver was there I'd scan it out the door. I kept the production floor stalked with materials consistantly to stay ahead. I was also responsible to answer my radio and do things such as find a pallet in warehouse for quality purposes and other random favors. The growth I gained from this position was time management skills.
I just finished this temp job that required random projects in the industrial warehouse. I converted several products from one thing to another by relabling, reboxing, and replacing certain parts of a product. I built case holders and hang clips while loading product on them and put together the last finish of a product stacking and wrapping them on pallets as orders to be shipped.
I was a cashier but I also helped unload the truck once a week when it came in. I also stocked product on the shelf. I dealt with alot of customer service in every position. I helped with inventory when it came around. I redesigned a couple of departments while I worked there. (electronics, season changes plantograms, and I worked on apparel usually on a daily basis. price changes
I filled orders for Wal-Mart stores using my hands, legs, and pallet Jack to lifer heavy product. (groceries) I was required to pull production which means to get the orders out in a certain time for them to be loaded into trucks to be delivered to Wal-Mart stores on a timely manner. I was the worker getting the product off the shelf and adding it to the current order (trip) than an automated system would tell me to do so through a head set. I also worked in the shipping and recieving office as an appointment clerk. I would set up appointments with vendors to come deliver or pick up product to the distribution center.
