  • Co-Programme Lead for the Berlin programme, 25 years of city partnership Windhoek x Berlin at Kulturprojekte Berlin
    Apr 2025 - Dec 2025 · 9 mos

The city partnership between Windhoek and Berlin was established in 2000 - in awareness of Germany's historical responsibility towards Namibia. To this day, it is Berlin's only one on the African continent and stands for living remembrance, mutual solidarity and future-oriented cooperation. In 2025, Berlin and Windhoek will celebrate 25 years of partnership - on the occasion of this anniversary and its historical and political relevance, a diverse, high-profile programme is to be created, which will take place in autumn this year in an anniversary week with numerous actors and partners in Berlin (17-23 November) and Windhoek (14-18 October) and will be accompanied by official delegation trips. The aim of the project is to make the town twinning visible and at the same time provide impetus for a lively partnership in the future. Kulturprojekte Berlin GmbH is designing and realising the project to mark the anniversary together with various partners and is responsible for the accompanying communication measures.

  • Cultural Manager at Monumental Shadows - Rethinking Colonial Heritage
    May 2023 - Dec 2025 · 2 yrs 8 mos

"Monumental Shadows - Rethinking Colonial Heritage" is a participatory project on public monuments reexamining and transforming the shadows cast by colonial figures into the present. The long-term project, initiated by the Berlin artist duo Various & Gould was realised in 2021 from August to November at the Otto von Bismarck Monument in Berlin, in collaboration with Colonial Neighbours / SAVVY Contemporary. Following its successful implementation in Berlin, the project is now also being carried out in other European cities of countries that were involved in the devastating Berlin Conference/Congo Conference/Afrika Konferenz of 1884/85. The performative and discoursive art and cultural project "Monumental Shadows" explores the culture of remembrance critically and deals with monuments that continue to inscribe and reiterate the colonial logic in public space.
