Communications Professional with strong academic background (Political Sciences, International Relations, European Union), more than 20 years of working experience in numerous highly demanding multinational working environments, established reputation for exceptional service in event management, proven record in designing and implementing large scale communication campaigns, demonstrated practice in building corporate identities and strong community relations, creating content and delivering messages to varied audiences such as: politicians, stakeholders, lobbyists, NGOs, media, opinion makers and civil society. • Managing IEAI’s social media channels (LinkedIn & Twitter) and engaging with its audiences (until March 2024) • Growing social audiences through compelling content and messaging. • Developing meaningful metrics, measuring and reporting social engagement outcomes. • Convert already created content into impactful messages. • Work with the IEAI Executive Director and Office - Program and Event Managers to promote IEAI events. • Partner with internal stakeholders to achieve IEAI's goals. • Contribute to the development of an outreach strategy that includes effective communication and relationship development. • Create content in cooperation with the IEAI team (e.g. Annual Reports, Research Briefs, Newsletters, Post Event Summaries, and Articles). • Assist the IEAI team in producing communication materials in other contexts (e.g. Q&Α Reflections on AI, Behind the Scenes etc).
• Sustain the OpenAIRE brand through strategic and consistent messaging and develop and implement its communication strategy. • Manage, edit and curate content for the portal, commission visual material such as photos and videos, collate monthly newsletters and write annual reports and press releases. • Design and implement a social media strategy. Evaluate and manage OpenAIRE's social media portfolio to raise visibility and attract users. • Have an overview of all the OpenAIRE services, develop a communications strategy, and plan to attract new users. • Coordinate the participation of OpenAIRE in EC research projects. • Work with the OpenAIRE Members to promote national and regional Open Science activities in the portal. • Participate in OpenAIRE EB/Standing Committee meetings to ensure strategic alignment of all communications efforts. • Manage and support communications for external events, training, and workshops.
• Implemented Program’s Communication Strategy for the period "2007-2013". • Designed the Communication Strategy for the Programing period "2014-2020". • Drew and run the central media campaign of the Program (television and radio spots, public displays, mood video, infographics, banners, articles in the media) spanning 3 languages. • Monitored, evaluated and presented to the European Commission and the Managing Authority on all kinds of communication actions in Program and Project level. • Created information and publicity material across 2 counties and 3 languages to distill complex subjects into coherent and easy to understand language. • Organized and participated in communication training workshops especially designed for Projects' Partners to help them stay in tune with the scope and goals of their Projects and the mission and the values of the Program. • Reviewed and approved the content (webpages, publications, press releases, invitations, boards of gratitude etc.) of 108 ongoing Projects provided by the 263 beneficiaries to ensure compliance with the EU’s and Program's standards. Each project was of different nature and scale and subsequently the targeted audiences varied. • Visualized the outcomes and disseminated the material internally and externally (co-workers, beneficiaries, opinion leaders, journalists) to raise the awareness regarding the Program’s achievements and its contribution to civil society. The eligible area comprised of 7 Districts on the Greek and 4 Districts on the Bulgarian side covering an area of 4,020,200 hectares and 2,812,236 inhabitants. Award-Distinction: "Greece-Bulgaria" Project INTERSYC was the big winner of the "Interreg 25 years Project Slam", a competition organised on the occasion of the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Interreg by the European Commission.
