Hi there! fellow professional curious minds! I am a passionate and driven early-career researcher in the field of cancer biology with a master’s in biomedical sciences focused on immunogenic cell death in breast cancer. I have hands on experience in 2D and 3D cultures, mouse xenografts, molecular biology, and proteomics, with a focus on triple-negative breast cancer and colorectal cancer models. I’m also dedicated to science outreach and mentor to expand science access in Latin America for future generations.
At the Fahrmann laboratory within the Clinical Cancer Prevention Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center, I contribute to studies focused on interrogating metabolic alterations of tumors and understating their functional relevance, with respect to both cancer cells as well as local host constituents of the tumor microenvironment, and how we can apply this knowledge translationally to derive at novel targets for prevention and markers for risk assessment and early detection.
