Do you like yogurt? It is one kind of Greek yogurt which is my first favorite food when I moved here. I like it not only it tastes great, but Hamdi Ulukaya who is the CEO of the Chobani Empire said, “Chobani can inspire a new way of business, a new way of work, a new way of innovation.” He was also an immigrant, and inspired me that I could make a start over in America. I've been living in California since my family moved from Hong Kong in 2018. During this quarantine, I’m at home mothering my daughter, and keep studying some Accounting and Taxations courses in CSM. And then, I joined the VITA volunteer program to enrich my job experience. I will get an Accounting Assistant Certificate. Every time, I face my life changes, I always can switch gears to adapt to the environment and keep looking into ways of expanding my career. I think time management is one of my strengths. And I know all of my work experience is not suitable in American, but I’ll get there, have an open mind to eager to learn, especially business courses. My specialties include QuickBooks, Excel, basic knowledge of Taxation and some tax software. As an immigrant, English is my second language. I have challenged myself over the past year to learn plenty of American English. I think I might have more spaces to improve my English, but I feel qualified now to enter a job with limited impact to my supervisor and co-workers. Tax problems are so common, I just image in one day, I have confident to face my clients, stand my ground and use my professional knowledge to reach out more people to solve problems and save money. I believe in one day, I would enjoy my yogurt and keep going.
