To give everyone a voice if they are victims of ASB. And supporting perpetrators to find a resolution to their behaviour to sustain their tenancy. - Sourcing robust and informative training for staff
- Working with members of the community, partner agencies and internal departments to develop safe places to live - Joint working with partner agencies such as police and social services to ensure community safety is a priority and vulnerable individuals are safeguarded - Building cases at a professional standard that can be put forward to court, should this be required. Also ensuring that should there be complaints, all actions are documented. - Utilising a variety of non-legal tools to try and rectify a situation in order to prevent legal proceedings
- working within policy and legislation, particularly the HRA 2017 to assist in the prevention of homelessness. -understanding what makes S21 , S8 and other eviction notices lawful -ensuring proactive networking is made in the housing sector and developing strong relationships with partners -having a broad understanding of what would trigger prevention and relief duty -using a selection of databases such as abritas, jigsaw, anite and sharepoint -negotiating with landlords to extend tenancies -conducting financial assessments on individuals to offer tailored support and review affordability -accessing various budgets and grants to support people struggling financially
neighbourhood officer -working with partner agencies to assist investigating crime and support vulnerable individuals/communities -addressing hot spot areas of crime and attending these regularly to help reassure communities -interviewing suspects under caution -providing victims and witnesses with reassurance throughout their journey -keeping up with key changes to the law -utilising a variety of resources to ensure the best possible outcomes
