About

Hello! My name is Amy Acosta. I am Sophomore finance major, here at St John’s University in the Tobin College of Business. I am a motivated and adaptable student with experience in customer service, financial aid support, youth leadership, and internship roles in educational and nonprofit environments. I currently work in a Financial Aid Office, where I assist with student financial records, respond to inquiries, and ensure accuracy and confidentiality when handling information. In addition, I have experience as a Girl Scouts counselor, where I developed strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills while working with children in structured and team-oriented settings. I also participate on a dance team on campus, which has strengthened my discipline, time management, teamwork, and commitment to consistent performance. I am also an active member of the Financial Management Association (FMA), where I am expanding my knowledge of finance, business concepts, and professional development through networking, workshops, and collaborative learning opportunities. Across all of my experiences, I have built a strong foundation in organization, customer service, and working with diverse groups of people. I am especially interested in gaining internship opportunities in finance, business, or insurance, where I can continue to develop professional skills and gain hands-on experience in a corporate environment.
