Hello! My name is Amrit Kaur Multani, and I am currently a nursing student at Tri-C, in addition to being a member of the honors program! I am interested in pursuing my medical career and making the healthcare sector more genuine, kind, and compassionate. My major is Applied Science in Nursing, and I am motivated explicitly towards pursuing a Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia, which is a CRNA, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. I wish to contribute to this cause through shadowing different healthcare professionals and volunteering at organizations driven by this agenda, and working. In addition, I would like to obtain my PHD to serve as a leader in diverse settings and empower the global nursing profession. I would like to create an organization that provides opportunties for students passionate about the medical field, while also contributing to global humantarian efforts. Aside from that, I am someone who is a team player and passionate about my goals. I am a highly motivated individual who wants to pursue my goals through kindness and empathy. I have volunteered in several organizations, including serving as the Vice President of Tri-C's Campus Activity Board, volunteering with the Courtney Jones Care and Cure Foundation, and actively participating in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. I have always embodied an optimistic approach to all my endeavors and aspire to continue to do so :)
In my role, I assist with patient monitoring in the Cleveland Clinic's Cardiac department. I am working alongside with nurses and physicians! I analyze the patient's EKG rhythms and alert the nurses to any abnormalities. I also keep an eye on their vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, CVP, CO2, Art-line, and much more! We also collaborate with the crisis team (CMET, AMET, MaryMet).
