1. Der Verein verfolgt den Zweck, Studierende von deutschen Universitäten und von Partneruniversitäten in arabischen Staaten zusammenzubringen, ihnen Praktika und Forschungsaufenthalte zu ermöglichen und damit den internationalen Austausch von Studierenden, demokratische Bildung, die Völkerverständigung und die Auseinandersetzung mit anderen Kulturen zu initiieren und zu fördern. 2. Des Weiteren fördert der Verein Publikationen und Veranstaltungen, die der internationalen Gesinnung, der Völkerverständigung und der Toleranz dienen, besonders in Hinblick auf das Verhältnis von Deutschland mit den Ländern des Nahen Ostens. 3. Der Verein verwirklicht den Satzungszweck, indem er Kooperationen mit Universitäten eingeht, Kooperationspartner für internationale Praktika gewinnt sowie Seminare und öffentliche Bildungsveranstaltungen organisiert und durchführt. 4. Der Verein kann zur Erfüllung dieser Ziele Kooperationen mit anderen Vereinen und Institutionen eingehen.
http://www.democraticac.de/ The Centre places on the top of its priorities: to work to promote a democracy culture in the Arab world; in the belief that, promotion of the democracy culture is the way to enable democratic system to occupy its proper place in the states of the region. Democracy is not to be imposed from above, and can not be one of major powers' tools to dominate smaller states. It is not rational to impose a democratic system against any nation's will. Democracy should be in terms with the people's faith and beliefs, and their readiness to sacrifice for it.
