• Accountabilities: Managing physical cargo operations (Gr I, Gr II, Gr III - Baseoils, Bitumen, Wax) on Specialities Trading desk to maximize commercial profit opportunities, value and optionality. Prime interface between internal trading, shipping departments and external customers to meet contractual products (within agreed specification) with practical working knowledge of Shell General Terms & Conditions (GTC’s) Managing long / short term storage facility and blending operations(occasionally) for the trading desk as well as handling the transportation of products via vessel, barges and trucks (ISO & Flexy tanks). Producing / Handling cargo documentation, voyage orders, appointment of surveyors, port agents, identified operational process improvements adding value where possible Dimensions: 1) Bitumen: 70KT/annum 2) Baseoils: 200 – 250 KT/ annum Achievements: Thru maximizing cargo loadable, collaboration with stake holders, challenging NOC’s (At times) on the term pricing structure & efficient scheduling of the vessel resulted in USD 300K savings to Specialties book for last year 2019 & YTD $1,039,000/- for 2020. Proactively following market trends and reactions implemented change in operations process as a direct result of market information. Demonstrated collaboration & integrated ways of working within Shell entities got a positive feedback from SDSA, SLSC, SMME etc.
• Accountabilities: Managing Shell fleet of Vessels (Time Charters) & Spot charter vessels from pre-fixture clearances, Bunker intakes, agency appointments, Post fixture & Demurrage claims. Prepare TC / Spot vessels position in the region, update on daily basis to chartering team for new voyage fixtures. Ensuring optimum cargo stowage, efficient tank cleaning operation, safe loading & discharging operations and bunker optimization are being achieved on every single voyage basis. Handling emergency calls out of office hours, have dealt with cargo(loss/gain) issues, bunker disputes, tank cleaning, safe berth, stoppage of ship, HRA Transit etc. Liaise and partner with chartering, ship management, shipboard staff, customers and outside vendors including port and hub agents, terminals, ship managers and authorities. Ensuring all details and supporting documents required for correct invoicing of freight, hire and claims are accurate and available in accordance with relevant charter party requirements for each voyage. Operating Regional Dimensions: From East of Suez(Egypt) whole red sea area, EAF, AG, WCI & Pakistan ports. Products handled – All CPP including GTL Base oils, Palm oil. COA’s handled for oil & industry majors like QP, KPC, UNIPEC, COSCO Achievements: Ensured immediate turnaround of Time Charter Vessels by timely coordinating and reduce Tank cleaning time by involving Maritime assurance team & PQ team. Instrumental in co-ordination with vessel master & owners for procuring bunkers on time at cheaper price with help of bunker procurement team. Demonstrate CVA (Commercial value add) in each voyage.
Accountabilities: 1)Investigate error logs and the reasons for deviations in shipments during loading or delivery by liaising with various stakeholders, e.g. hauliers, depots (stock accounting), scheduler, supply and collect operational details. 2)Managed deviation from plan, i.e. process in GSAP any post schedule amendments to the shift: Left on board, plant/depot change, load quantity changes, compartment changes, trip sequence change, vehicle change, orders Scheduled not delivered 3) Ensure any significant changes made to VMI orders are notified back to CROSS focal for potential rework. 4) First point of contact for the KAM/ hauliers / terminal for any necessary amendments. 5) Supporting supply coordinator for all HM movements and stock handling. 6) Supporting new stock reconciler in day-day activities. Accountabilities: 1)Checking stocks in GSAP per depot / terminal on a daily, weekly and monthly basis, e.g. capture meter readings, special stock movements and physical tank stock figures. Identify and explaining errors if stocks are not within the tolerance to FO team & to the concerned stake holders. 2) Perform tank reconciliation in Manual reconciliation tool (Excel) , i.e. compare physical stocks vs. Book stocks. 3)Co-ordinate with Supply & business partners (Commercial Fuels, Specialties and Aviation) on additive replenishments for Shell depots / terminals and also to Outside Supply Points (OSPs), Bridger’s to Al Maktoum Airport 4)Support the TO support lead on the Terminal and OSP compliance related requirements. Dimensions: Storage Capacity : 170,000 M3 Throughput : 1.4 Mil M3 Shell Terminals : 2 {JAT (Bit. & Additives, Lube oil, Base oil) & SCT (Chemical grades)} Outside Service Point (OSP )– 1 {SEOT Terminal}(Gasoil) Joint Venture (JV) -1 {EMDAAD Terminal}(Jet A-1) Achievements: 1)Identified errors at reconciling stocks in a timely manner.
