London Area, United Kingdom
I am an ambitious Economics and Finance undergraduate at Queen Mary University of London, with a keen interest in finance, data and tech. I have just completed an industrial placement with Lloyds Banking Group, where I worked in the Data Management AI, Automation and Reporting Team. My academic journey alongside my work experience has fuelled my passion for the financial sector, where I aspire to drive strategic decisions and contribute to impactful projects and products. I have held society positions at Queen Mary as the Vice President of the Queen Mary Economics Society and an M&A Analyst of the Queen Mary Knowledge Group. In my role with the Economics Society, I lead initiatives to engage students in current economic discourse, organising events and producing analyses that foster a deeper understanding of global economic affairs. As an M&A Analyst, I evaluated major M&A transactions, conducting detailed financial analyses, and delivering key insights. My work experience spans several prestigious institutions. My time at EY in the Strategy and Transactions team deepened my understanding of consulting services, particularly in the context of sustainability and strategic growth. At Deutsche Bank and Barclays, I gained exposure and practical experience in key divisions of a bank, directing technological applications and comparatively analysing customer service, respectively. Additionally, I’ve engaged in several university-led programmes, including the Student Consultancy Project, the Interprofessional Education Team Project and the UG Finance Trading Programme. These initiatives have not only sharpened my ability to collaborate effectively and deliver results under pressure but also offered insights into the fields of consulting, economics and finance. Outside of my academics and work experience, I have a range of interests that keep me balanced and energised. I’m an active tennis player and LTA-qualified coach, competing with the Queen Mary Mixed Competitive 1 Team and leading coaching sessions at my local tennis club. I also enjoy football, music, photography and travelling, which enrich my personal life and contribute to my balanced and dynamic approach to problem-solving and career growth. I am eager to continue developing my expertise in finance and tech, and I’m always open to connecting with professionals and students with similar interests in these fields to share insights and explore future opportunities.
