Fit for Work Injury Prevention Specialist University at Buffalo Athletic Training MS Exercise science BS Public health & Nutrition minor
Excited to announce I’ve joined Fit for Work as an Injury Prevention Specialist. Looking forward to making workplaces safer and healthier.
Over the past month, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Palm Springs, California, to work with the California Winter League, a baseball tournament-style league. In my role, I managed communication, treatment, and rehabilitation for eight teams, including four international teams. This experience not only allowed me to overcome language barriers but also provided me with valuable connections in the baseball community. I’m immensely grateful for the knowledge and guidance I received from my certified athletic trainer preceptors during this journey.
This August has been my first preseason experience. Working everyday with my new preceptors, coaches, and other staff has been a great experience. This preseason experience is just the beginning to the rest of the fall season. Here I will be covering football, baseball, soccer, hockey, and volleyball. I am excited to put all my past experience together and develop my skills in this new setting.
My current position is an apprentice under Kelsey Bright the head University at Buffalo Wrestling Athletic Trainer. This is my first Division 1 College experience and I am excited to start using my knowledge of my advanced modalities and therapy techniques. Throughout the semester I expanded my clinical experience into the University at Buffalos Football spring term. I also assisted with the softball team on multiple occasions. These two added sites throughout the spring term have provided me with huge advancements in my practice. I am very grateful to be selected to work all three clinical sites.
