Middle East and Africa's first Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) in Nov' 2016. CAP - by INFORMS - is gradually becoming the industry standard professional certification in Data Analytics. A senior data scientist and business analytics expert with 12 years experience in commercial banking, especially credit cards issuing and acquiring. Helped CIB grow from Egypt's 4th largest cards acquirer in 2008 to market leadership in 2011 with 30% market share, and from 4th largest cards issuer in 2008 to market leadership in 2016. Top-ranked INSEAD MBA 2015, with special focus on strategy and data analytics, then returned to CIB as the first data scientist, then built the Customer Insights and Digital Analytics functions. In May 2019, moved to Emirates NBD's Cairo office to start the Analytics department. Led several strategic projects, including Dynamic Currency Conversion on POS (net profits of $3 million annually), Credit Cards segmentation with MasterCard Advisors, and led a CIB team in the 2013 Visa Global Challenge, achieving "most improved" out of the 144 competing teams. During Egypt's foreign currency crunch in 2016, I constantly set the data-driven spending limits on CIB credit and debit cards, which were under the spotlight by the regulator, general public and other banks.
Joined the Business Analytics team to support Consumer Banking and to help grow Digital Banking, then spun off Digital Analytics from under the Consumer Banking Analytics umbrella, and managing CIB's partnership with R3 Consortium, to bring Blockchain financial applications to the Egyptian Banking system
