Kevin joined Alibaba.com in 2017 to help lead its global transformation, successfully driving annual revenue growth from 4% to 45% over 5 years. During that period, the business grew to $40 billion of annual GMV, $3 billion of revenue and $800m of ebitda. Kevin was most recently the Co-founder & CFO of OpenSky, a world-class ecommerce platform Alibaba acquired in 2017. At the time of the acquisition, the platform served 100k+ SMB businesses, drove billions in GMV and generated $50 million ARR. Previously, Kevin was an early employee leading Strategy & Finance at several highly successful start-ups: MongoDB (Nasdaq, $25bn+), Business Insider (acq by Axel Springer), Gilt (acq by Saks Fifth Avenue) and MaxPreps (acq by CBS). Early in his career, Kevin worked at Morgan Stanley in the Technology Investment Banking Group where he was a member of the Google IPO team. Kevin is an active angel investor and advisor in multiple startups and early-stage funds, including 4DX Ventures (leading early-stage fund in Africa), Collab Capital (fund investing in Black founders), Wasoko/MaxAB (Seed; Silver Lake-led Series A), Replit (Andreessen/Coatue-led Series B via SAFE), Passport Shipping (TCV-led Series B), Pair Eyewear (NEA-led Series B) + more. Born and raised in a small ranching town in far northern California, Kevin graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was a member of the national champion varsity rugby team.
