Turning Consultation into Decision | Governance Researcher & Change Advisor | Founder Legitmov

The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands

About

Many organisations I work with are not stuck because of weak leadership or a lack of legitimacy. They are stuck because the processes are not designed to end. They lack a 'finish line.' Everyone is consulted. Everyone agrees something needs to change. But nobody owns the decision. I researched to solve this problem. This research was also published in Binnenlands Bestuur in the May 2026 edition, which identified that decision-making paralysis in Dutch public administration is a process design problem, not a leadership flaw. In my governance research, from nine in-depth interviews with senior Dutch administrators, aldermen, and policymakers, I developed the SDNF Framework, a practical approach that gives governance processes a clear structure, defined accountability, and a decisive endpoint. Through Legitmov, a governance research advisory, I work with public sector organisations, NGOs, and leaders who need their governance processes to actually produce decisions. It helps them find an end to prolonged decisions. On the basis of my framework, I offer advisory sessions, masterclasses, and governance design workshops. If this sounds familiar to your organisation, then I would welcome a conversation ahead. Learn more @ www.legitmov.nl
