Known for her innovative solutions and communications leadership, Amber has worked with the world’s most dynamic and highly-ranked companies and brands to establish a clear communications vision and strategy, build the programs and tools to support that strategy and deliver flawless execution. She has led communications during transformations, turnarounds and crisis and has extensive experience in government, health care, energy, electric utility and telecommunications sectors. She has held top communications positions with the Department of Veterans Affairs, Energy Future Holdings (formerly TXU), Atmos Energy, Nokia and Mercer. Her work is recognized nationally and internationally by more than 50 awards from PRWeek, the Public Relations Society of America, the International Association of Business Communicators, Women in Communications and the Texas Public Relations Association. In addition to her communications career, Amber co-founded and operated a sustainability consulting firm for more than ten years. She and her partner built a company that provided LED lighting and utility infrastructure solutions to clients including the Department of Veterans Affairs, AT&T, Texas Instruments and Raytheon. She is co-author of “Dear Soldier: Heartfelt Letters from America’s Children,” a compilation of letters to our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. “Dear Soldier” has received news coverage worldwide and has been featured on CNN, FOX, and NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams. It is available through numerous retail channels and has made its way to more than 60,000 service-men and women and their families. A native of Louisiana, Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of Louisiana and a Master of Arts Degree in Business Management from Webster University.
