As a second-generation Aggie, my path to Texas A&M University wasn't the traditional one. I began my college career playing softball at Tyler Junior College before transferring to Texas A&M, where I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in University Studies Business and minors in Financial Planning and Communication. I launched my career during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that underscored the value of trusted advice and meaningful client relationships during times of volatility. Shortly after, I successfully passed the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and Series 65 exams, reinforcing my commitment to providing thoughtful, knowledgeable guidance. After spending a little over a year with another fee-only Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm in the Houston area, I joined Astoria Strategic Wealth in November 2021, where I enjoy working remotely and helping our clients build confidence in their financial futures. I particularly enjoy specializing in Education Planning and working with young professionals as they establish strong financial habits now versus in retirement. My connection to Texas A&M continued beyond graduation as I now serve as a board member for the Aggie Planners Advisory Board. I am the Special Events Chair, where I support the Financial Planning Program through coordinating bi-annual Happy Hours and recruiting top speakers for our fall conference, all the while helping mentor the next generation of financial planners. Since my husband, Ryan, and I both grew up in small towns (La Grange and Whitewright), we have found our home away from home in the small town of West Columbia, Texas, to raise our family. Ryan is the head baseball and defensive assistant football coach for the Roughnecks, and a special education teacher at Columbia High School. Our son, Cross, and daughter, Dallas, are the light of our lives, alongside our two dogs, Brewer and Augie. Outside the office, you'll usually find me baking sourdough, cheering on our favorite sports teams, or enjoying the everyday adventures that come with raising a young family.
