About

Amber Louise Culley is passionate about mental health, entrepreneurism and governance. She has completed an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Political Science with Minors in Global Studies and Religion & Culture along with the Arts Global Experience (AGX) Program at Wilfrid Laurier University. Additionally, she has been able to achieve numerous certifications thus far. She is continuing her studies within the Double Masters (MA/MDiv) program in Psychotherapy & Spiritual Care and Theology at Martin Luther University College. This program is acknowledged under the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO); allowing her to become a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) and a Certified Psychospiritual Therapist (PST). Amber is completing a Global Leadership Diploma from the University for Peace on scholarship and has completed a Certificate in Faith, Innovation and Social Impact from New York University on scholarship. Amber would like to complete a MSc and PsyD in the discipline of psychology that is research-focused while in her full-time career as an RP and PST. She hopes to publish works and establish her own business and non-profit. Her overall career goals are to work as a Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Psychospiritual Therapist (PST) and Certified Psychologist (PsyD), seeking various specializations within this realm of work, as well as working within governance later in life. Amber is interested in sustainability, mental health and accessibility in terms of governance and social justice. She would like to continue to apply the knowledge she has been able to gain from her academic studies and experience into these fields. In addition, she has gained experience in teaching and assessment, supporting persons with accessibility needs, social justice work, working with vulnerable persons, advocating mental health, supporting international students, representing and supporting student bodies, taking part in municipal administrative work, planning and hosting events, facilitating meetings, creating agendas, discussing finances and budgeting, practicing the use of various software and online design, being in leadership roles, delegating tasks, working within international environments, and more.
