Musician, Songwriter, Music Teacher, Recording Artist – Amber Bauer’s life IS music. Born and raised in small town Vermilion, Alberta, to a music teaching mother and a multi-instrumentalist father, the collision between music and Amber’s heart was inevitable. In 2008, she broke onto the music scene as a piano/hammond organ player and backup vocalist for CCMA Female Artist of the Year, Jesse Farrell. She has since supported (and continues to support) various other artists such as Small Town Pistols, Amanda Wilkinson, Victoria Banks, Tenille and indy pop sensation Michael Bernard Fitzgerald. In addition to appearances at various festivals and venues while touring the country, Amber played a role in the videos: Living on the Outside (Small Town Pistols), and You Make Me Feel (Jessie Farrell). Her solo career gained momentum in 2010 when Canadian Country Star George Canyon signed her as the pilot artist for his new label, Broken Pick Records. Amber toured with George, was featured on stage, and released her first single to radio, Buy Your Tears (co-written and produced by Canyon). Amber has opened for Emerson Drive, and shared songwriter round stages with Duane Steele, Brett Kissel and Jake Matthews. She is currently finishing her first full-length album, which was recorded at Beaird Music Group in Nashville and CCMA Studio of the Year, MCC, in Calgary. Her country roots and soulful pop flare evoke a range of emotions within her fans. With the grit of Bonnie Raitt, the sleek beauty of Carrie Underwood, and the soulful calm of Norah Jones, Amber is destined to move any heart with her music and songwriting.
