Recent graduate of Christopher Newport University, earning a BS in Neuroscience with a minor in Spanish. Incoming first year Neuroscience PhD student at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC).
In this role, I serve as a liaison between faculty and students within the College of Natural and Behavioral Sciences (NBS) who are interested in beginning on-campus research. Responsibilities include: holding weekly office hours, representing NBS research at admission events, assisting with the research matching process, informing students of program application deadlines, etc.

I serve as a B-EMT for club sports games and tournaments at CNU. In this position, I am responsible for managing acute injuries in high pressure environments, as well as delegation and escalation of care.
One of three returning fellows selected to return to the Pauley Heart Center Undergraduate Research Fellowship. Continuing my work with Dr. Fadi Salloum, my project investigates immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence of murine aortic root samples in order to examine how cisplatin impacts the stability and structure of atherosclerotic plaque.
Selected to participate in a competitive 10-week clinical research fellowship through the VCU Pauley Heart Center. Working under Dr. Fadi Salloum, I have examined the effects of Cisplatin on long term development of atherosclerosis. Additionally, I have the opportunity to gain clinical shadowing experience at VCU through weekly rotations in different cardiac specialties.
