Within pre sales, I worked with organizations to assess and identify current deployment, define potential security gaps, and define a solution. Responsibilities include staying up to date on all products and services, standing up a lab environment to test and give product demos, run proof of concept workshops, work across customer’s org teams; security, network, app, c-level. Within post sales, I worked with services teams to build and keep relationships for successful opportunities, and strategize sales approach to close deals. Beyond direct job responsibilities; collect customer feedback on products, and collaborate with PM/PD to improve the product and process, member of competitive task force to build strategy to win against competing vendors, assist UX/Platform test and provide feedback, enablement of Account Executives, develop content and present webinars, assist in content reviews for OCTO team.
Lead engineering team through development and installation schedules. Create a detailed project schedule based on deliverables. Collaborate with management, government sponsors, and defense customers through high level requests, requirements, detailed technical solutions, briefs, and debriefs. Design new system architectures. Prototype and implement new baseline version technology solutions to include upgraded OS, AD, new Windows/Linux VMs, increased resources, DMZ, and possible integration with multiple other programs. Communicate with other programs and vendors to learn their product to design integrations of solutions.
Requirements analysis. Produce software trade study. Built Solaris OS infrastructure, ZFS zones, and virtualization. Wrote scripts to silently install all baseline software and harden systems. Installation and integration of all software, databases, and network connections to external systems. Lead the DCGS-N Block 2 installed on CANES on the Reagan carrier. Interface with SPAWAR and Navy ship’s force to communicate schedule, status, issues/needs/resolutions. Communicate with every vendor that resides on the ship’s network to understand and implement their program’s needs. Create VMs, link datastores, configure ILOM, define storage arrays, setup Active Directory computers/accounts/groups and configure firewall/router/switches. Project Lead: Create and implement a completely new Configuration Mgmt process. Define project requirements. Schedule and manage team’s tasks and budgetary funding. Receive and respond to RFPs. Design database rqmts and schema. Create MS Access database, queries, and reports.
Project Lead: Attend domestic and international status meetings with Navy command; Create internal schedule, provide Navy with IMS tasks; Manage engineers building system; Investigate process and work with multiple SPAWAR and Navy groups to build shore site package to approve program; design diagrams, site map, engineering docs, policies, accreditation, network interconnections, etc.
Systems Engineer: Research and Development of architecture and capabilities for a capture pursuit of UAV ground stations; Developed DODAF and Zachman model design artifacts; Requirements analysis; Prototyping and trade studies of hardware and software performances; Develop use cases; Requirements mapping; Demoed software packages and newly designed portal to potential customer; Member of an OSD effort to gather industry to build a framework concept desired.
