My technology career began in Austin at Trilogy Software, where I progressed through engineering, support leadership, and Director-level roles, building a strong foundation in enterprise software delivery and customer success. I later spent six years in systems integration at CIBER and Capgemini, leading global delivery teams and large-scale transformation initiatives across high tech, manufacturing, and public sector clients, followed by a role at EMC designing converged infrastructure and cloud solutions for enterprise customers. In 2012, I joined CyrusOne, where I led economic development, site selection, and telecommunications strategy, including championing Texas House Bill 1223, landmark data center tax legislation that attracted billions in investment and helped position Texas as a global data center hub. I also supported CyrusOne’s successful public offering in 2013. I then transitioned to the nonprofit sector at Ascension Seton Healthcare, shaping long-term IT strategy and governance and supporting the launch of Dell Seton Medical Center, a Tier 1 academic research hospital. I went on to spend eight years in the energy and utilities sector at LCRA and ERCOT, leading enterprise architecture and modernization efforts for critical grid infrastructure and regulatory operations. Today, I serve as Director of Enterprise Architecture at ServiceNow, leading a team of Enterprise Architects delivering strategic advisory and architecture services for some of the world’s largest organizations across regulated industries. I hold a background in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from UNC Asheville and MIT CSAIL and maintain certifications including Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Security Black Belt, Agile Scrum Master, and TOGAF, with CISSP in progress. Outside of work, I am an avid billiards player, world traveler, and technology thought leader, and I pursue creative writing as a way to bring storytelling and innovative thinking to complex challenges.
As Director of Enterprise Architecture, I lead a high-performing team of 12 AI empowered Field Chief Technology Officers providing comprehensive architecture and advisory services to some of the world’s largest and most complex organizations. My team supports multiple industry verticals, including Energy and Utilities, Transportation and Logistics, Retail, Services, Healthcare, and Life Sciences. We act as trusted advisors to executive leadership, helping organizations align business strategy, operating models, and technology investments. Our services include strategic planning and multi-year road mapping, application rationalization and modernization, value stream and capability mapping, CSDM alignment, instance strategy, mergers and acquisitions advisory, and the design of effective operational governance models. By combining deep industry expertise and deep AI expertise with disciplined enterprise architecture practices, we enable our customers to drive transformation at scale, improve operational resilience, reduce complexity, manage risk, and deliver measurable business value.
In my previous role as a Field CTO, I developed Energy and Utilities solutions by partnering closely with executive leadership and proactively planning for an evolving regulatory landscape. I regularly engaged with internal and external senior executives to identify pain points and opportunities to deliver measurable business value. I led architecture and design engagements to support a wide range of business initiatives, including IT transformation, digital products and services, platform as a service, enterprise service management, and the co-creation of industry-specific solutions. I applied established architecture development methods, modeling approaches, and integration patterns to design scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions. I also provided thought leadership by collaborating with internal teams, partners, and customers, and by contributing to best practices, white papers, and executive-level workshops. As part of this role, I developed NERC CIP demonstrations using ServiceNow technology to address the unique regulatory, security, and operational challenges faced by utility organizations.
In this role, I partnered closely with the Chief Administrative Officer to define and execute ERCOT’s Enterprise Architecture strategy, developing transformational initiatives designed to modernize operations and shape the future of the energy market while maintaining high levels of operational efficiency and situational awareness. I played a key role in advancing enterprise-wide architectural maturity, aligning business strategy, technology, and governance across the organization. I led the development of ERCOT’s Reference Architecture based on the Cloud Security Alliance TCI Reference Architecture and created a comprehensive Business Capability Map aligned to business services, functions, control structures, applications, and underlying infrastructure. I defined enterprise strategies spanning workplace services, collaboration, access management, business intelligence, test automation, service management, monitoring, and DevOps, enabling greater consistency and scalability across the organization. My work included designing ERCOT’s Weatherization and Inspection Services on the ServiceNow platform, optimizing demand and portfolio management intake processes, and implementing Enterprise Architecture principles tied to non-functional requirements at the product level rather than the project level. I established an Enterprise Architecture Service Catalog and led the development of a cross-functional enterprise roadmap using Power BI to improve strategic planning across business units. Additionally, I developed ERCOT’s IT Evergreen strategy to evolve DevOps practices into a broader product management model, served as Lead Architect for the ERCOT Quality Assurance assessment to improve enterprise quality management, and authored a white paper identifying opportunities to apply artificial intelligence and machine learning across ERCOT’s operations.
In this role at ERCOT, I partnered closely with the Chief Information Officer to lead a team of world-class architects responsible for delivering detailed solution designs for the organization’s most strategic initiatives. I directly led a team of more than ten architects, along with an Enterprise Architecture Repository Administrator, and was accountable for advancing architectural rigor, consistency, and governance across the enterprise. I developed a multi-year Enterprise Architecture plan and strategy to guide technology investment and modernization efforts, as well as an Enterprise Automation Strategy to improve efficiency and scalability. I restructured the Architecture Review Board governance model and framework to better support agile delivery while maintaining architectural integrity. I implemented an Enterprise Architecture repository using Orbus to provide a centralized system of record for enterprise systems and assets, and I optimized IT design processes and cross-process interactions by applying TOGAF and aligning architecture workflows with ITIL practices. In addition, I led the training and development of more than 40 architects in TOGAF, customizing architecture processes to align with the TOGAF Architecture Development Method. I also optimized infrastructure capacity management processes by maximizing the use of existing tools, improving visibility, planning, and operational efficiency across the organization.

In my role as a consultant at LCRA, I was engaged to establish an IT Strategy and Development Office reporting to the Chief Information Officer and to develop a comprehensive IT Strategic Plan aligned to LCRA’s enterprise strategic planning process over a five-year horizon. I led a large, cross-functional team spanning strategy, enterprise architecture, and planning, providing structure, governance, and execution discipline to support long-term organizational objectives. I established Centers of Excellence, or Communities of Service, across key domains including security, network, information management, mobile, and cloud. I restructured the enterprise intake process to improve prioritization and alignment, built a comprehensive business capability inventory, and developed a business capability map covering all business lines. I also established an Enterprise Architecture program aligned to business capabilities and enterprise needs, launched and supported an enterprise IT asset management program, and developed a three-year IT Strategic Plan. In addition, I led the development of a multi-year Administration Services Strategic Plan encompassing HR, Engineering, IT, Security, Community Services, and Public Safety. A key focus of my engagement was training and developing a team with limited prior experience in strategy, planning, and development, enabling them to sustain the program and continue executing against LCRA’s strategic objectives.
In my role at Ascension, I supported the Office of the CIO to ensure strong alignment between information services and key stakeholders across the Seton Healthcare Family. I worked closely with both local and national business leaders to establish clear alignment between core business objectives and the portfolio of IT initiatives and resources managed by Information Services. I led a large strategy, architecture, and planning organization responsible for supporting 13 hospitals and 187 clinics. I restructured the Project Management Office into business-aligned Centers of Excellence and established ministry-wide information services governance, driving greater transparency and accountability. I launched a comprehensive internal engagement and marketing program that included an annual Information Services conference, an annual planning guide, and an Information Services portal to improve business visibility and engagement. I served as Change Acceleration Process Manager for Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas, a $1B Tier 1 research hospital and academic medical center, supporting large-scale transformation initiatives. Additionally, I architected an enterprise digital, web, and mobile strategy to align ministries to national standards, coordinated with Ascension National on enterprise governance frameworks, and developed a new Information Management roadmap and standardized intake process for the Seton ministry, which was later adopted at the national level. I created a repeatable framework for capturing ministry business priorities, goals, and objectives and aligning them annually with Information Services priorities. I was also selected for Ascension’s annual Leadership Formation Scholarship for FY15–16, recognizing leadership potential and organizational impact.
