RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for managing company safety, environmental, and DOT functions. Ensures company compliance to Federal, State and local laws and regulations through regular inspections and analysis. Making sure safety and federally administered compliance regulations are enforced. Oversees safety program audits and corrective action plan follow-up Administer safety policies. Develop and administer a consistent and equitable discipline process Manage the investigation process of accidents and claims. Develop and administer an effective training program Ensures company compliance to Federal, State and local laws and regulations through regular inspections and analysis. Ensures compliance with applicable occupational safety and motor vehicle regulations Develops, implements, executes, and manages strategies to prevent property losses and vehicle accidents Maintain an operation that is compliant with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulatory matters. Manages all maintenance records and assures all inspections and monthly maintenance forms are received Submits monthly and quarterly fuel tax returns. Ensure Owner Operators are in compliance with FMCSR. Manages all aspects of DOT Hours of Service compliance. Manages Random Drug & Alcohol testing program. Position Qualifications: 10+ years in the Safety Division for a Motor Carrier Proficiency in all Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other related software programs Posses a working knowledge of transportation (DOT) regulations Good verbal and written communication, reading, organizational, leadership, interpersonal and team building skills, and reasoning, problem solving and analytical ability.
