I provide training and assessing for the following qualifications. NCAS EA Intro and Level One Coach Riding Coach with Bert Harthog All Pony Club Certificates, Preperation for International qualifications. VCE Equestrain training.
AMANDA HOCKING BHS11. EA NCAS II. CE. DipEPM. I am an internationally qualified equestrian coach, holding both the EA NCAS Level 2 General and BHSII certificates along with numerous industry based qualifications. I have been fortunate to train with many of the world’s most influential riders and coaches such as Andrew Hoy and Brian Schrapel for eventing and in dressage Franz Maringer, Rainer Klimke, Islay Auty , Wolfgang Holtzel, Edgar Lichtwark and more recently Hella Kuntz, Uwe Spenlen and Marianne Esseen- Soderberg. Along with the classical principles of riding, I also see great value in incorporating natural horsemanship in the shape of ground control and have trained with John and Josh Lyons (USA) and David Simons (AUS) in these specific areas. Early in my career, I attended a course in Sports Psychology, facilitated by the Australian Institute of Sport, which started a passion for using mental development in order to enhance sports performance. Since then I have regularly participated in training that includes NLP, sports psychology, goal setting and visualisation techniques. I now provide these in my training of coaches and riders and my philosophy is to help each client to achieve the best they can with the best they have, in a holistic and inspiring manner. Because I believe health and fitness, both physical and mental, play a large role in performance levels, I am enjoy providing health information and mentoring to my students. It gives me great joy and job satisfaction to know that I have assisted my pupils to achieve major accolades in the competition arena such as Inter-School Championships, Junior Three Day Events and EA Dressage Championships. But seeing students break through their self-imposed “glass ceilings” to achieve a personal best will always be the greatest acknowledgement of my influence.
