The Careers Adviser plays a key role in the delivery of careers education, information, advice and guidance and the provision of other activities that contribute to the wider student experience. • To develop a schoolwide innovative and engaging Careers programme from Year 7 to Year 13. • To organise, administer and lead Year 12 Career lessons once a fortnight. • To ensure all students have access to impartial careers information and guidance through one-to-one guidance meetings. • To work with Further Education establishments, training providers, universities and other external organisations to access up to date and relevant information in order to provide impartial information, advice and guidance to students that is appropriate to their needs. • To support all Year 12 students seeking work experience in partnership with parents and external organisations. • To liaise with the OA Manager to co-ordinate a programme where alumni who are parents can discuss a variety of different career paths with students. • To plan, co-ordinate and run careers fairs and other outreach activities for different age groups as directed by the Head of Senior School or other members of SLT.
