I am a self-motivated individual who works hard, communicates well and has good interpersonal skills. I am a keen, enthusiastic and reliable person who performs to the best of my ability along with an excellent attendance and time keeping record. The ability to overcome obstacles and follow things through to completion has always been a strong point of mine. I have recently completed a ‘Leadership Development Pathway’ course whilst currently working for the NHS. Lastly, I can’t forget to mention my infectious personality that will brighten up anybody’s day!
Handle incoming and outgoing calls to clinical staff and members of the public in a polite and efficient manner. Ensure all correspondence is accurately and appropriately presented using trust and department procedures. Arrange/handle appointment queries which are received via phone/email using specialist programmes and managing Doctor’s calendars. Ensure an open mind and a willingness to help approach is used for all tasks as the unpredictability of patients means that persuasive, reassuring and empathic skills are required at all times. Willing to go that extra mile for patients that use our service as they can be hostile, abusive or aggressive but having to understand that majority of the time it cannot be helped due to the complex issues the patient may have. Create and print letters, readying them to send out. Recently completed a ‘Leadership development pathway’ course.
Moving and sorting mail. Segregating different types of mail. Operating sorting machines. Sorting letters and packets manually. Loading and unloading delivery trucks.
Categorising, describing and giving unique reference numbers to items of lost property so that they can be easily identified and reunited with their owners. Booking in items on the computer using a specialist program. Frequently liaising with stations and garages. Removing unclaimed time expired items from the store and sort bags, cases etc. to ensure that all possible identification is removed, sorting into lots or bulk for auction. Training existing and new staff members.
Working in a retail environment providing exceptional customer service and demonstrating product knowledge to maximise sales. Responsible for greeting customers with a smile and creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and providing them with detailed merchandise information and advice. Accurately processing all methods of payment. Handling customer’s complaints in a professional and diplomatic way. Stocking the shop floor before it opens to ensure everything is available to the customer when the store opens.
