As a Plant Manager with full P&L responsibility, I am accountable for ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective operations. My role includes CapEx planning, project coordination, and strict control of timelines, quality standards, and budgets to guarantee successful and sustainable execution. One of the most challenging and rewarding aspects of my position is the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles in a highly complex environment — characterized by diverse local and global customers, specific operational requirements, and a heterogeneous, multidisciplinary workforce.
My role includes planning and scheduling production, as well as managing extraordinary and emergency maintenance activities at the Porto Marghera site, in line with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) principles. I coordinate the technical breakdown management process using RCFA, FMEA, and ICAM methodologies. I am also responsible for personnel management, site budget control, and reporting directly to the Engineering Europe Manager and the COO for Europe. One of my main focus areas is the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles: applying 5S methodology across workshops and warehouses, developing OPLs and SOPs, and promoting safety improvement initiatives such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures, machine guarding, and internal traffic plans. I actively contribute to improving process safety and environmental performance while reducing energy and maintenance costs through targeted actions—particularly on electric motors, compressed air systems, and cogeneration units. Another key aspect of my role is direct collaboration with customers, with whom I develop innovative solutions to optimize time, energy, and resource consumption—both at the plant level and in daily operations. My responsibilities also include managing relationships with public authorities, local communities, trade unions, suppliers, contractors, and clients, ensuring full alignment with corporate standards and social responsibility principles.
