I help businesses comply with law. I advise on regulatory compliance issues, including issues relating to trade, employment, education, environment, and consumer protection law.
I design and teach the course 'Employment Law in the Digital Age and Beyond'. The course focuses on digital age-related issues and is relevant to senior leadership and executives, HR personnel and people managers.
At the SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business, I design and teach the course 'Employment Law for Business Professionals', and teach undergraduates employment law with a commercial slant. Placed on the Dean's Teaching Honour List 2023, 2024 and 2025, by SMU Lee Kong Chian School of Business. Awarded the Outstanding Adjunct Award 2024, by SMU.
Working with Kith & Kin Law Corporation, Kinexus Legal LLC was incubated during this time.
Partner in the Competition & Trade practice, and Sustainability practice. I advised on: - trade-compliance issues, including strategic goods, controlled goods, compliance trade audits and voluntary disclosure applications with the Singapore Customs - sustainability-related issues such as greenwashing, carbon trading, as well as other environment, safety and health issues and compliance issues (e.g. radiation safety, toxic industrial waste, hazardous substances, UEEE) - competition and consumer protection issues, including e-commerce-related issues and health & safety, food law etc - employment-related matters, including fair recruitment, termination / wrongful dismissal issues, work-place safety and health issues, harassment, whistle-blowing etc - general corporate matters, including preparation of corporate commercial agreements I also conducted targeted training for businesses in: - legal areas such as trade compliance, anti-bribery and corruption, competition, general contract and employment laws - employment law and contract law as a trainer for Singapore Business Federation
