I'm a backend-focused software engineer, drawn to the kind of problems where correctness actually matters — where a subtle mistake in how data gets ordered or accessed quietly breaks everything downstream. I started out in aerospace engineering at METU before switching into software. That detour left its mark: I'd rather ship something I've tested properly than something that merely runs. Most of my work so far has been building backend systems in Python — secure APIs, async processing, and a lot of time spent making sure they hold up under real conditions, not just on the happy path. I've also worked with LLM APIs like OpenAI on the product side of a couple of projects. A few of those are in the Projects section below if you want the details.
