Under the direction of the HR System Analyst, the HR Systems Graduate Assistant provides functional and technical guidance and support to the Human Resources unit in developing, enhancing, testing and maintaining HRMS and Student system applications and data. * Software Testing, development and maintenance. * Website update & maintenance and web-application development with Html & Java Script. * Troubleshoots and analyzes PeopleSoft HRMS and PeopleSoft problems. Recommends tests and implements solutions in concert with IT professionals. * As a member of the HR-IT team, works with functional users, programmer/analysts, database administrators, etc. to plan, coordinate and conduct system and application testing. Regularly performs independent, hands-on HRMS and testing with periodic support from functional users. * Identifies and analyzes user needs, recommends optimum approach and develops specifications for tasks and projects. This may include process mapping and evaluation to ensure processes are effective and efficient. * In collaboration with users, develops and enhances reports to verify the accuracy and integrity of all system data and to support information needs of the Vice President of Administration's departments and other University end users.
