Current position requires secret clearance. Works with multiple agencies including FBI, Secret Service, National Security, ICE, etc. regarding cases dealing with national and local terrorism, confidential and classified information, and immigration. Completes aspects of recurring legal documents in conformance with the rules governing their style and format. Develops tables of contents and indices to briefs in accordance with established format. Composes routine original notices that do not require legal interpretations but do require a good working knowledge of legal procedures and specialized terminology, e.g., transmittal of pleadings, requests for extensions of time in certain cases, advising of actions taken or developments in cases referred by other federal departments and agencies, and notices to attorneys representing defendants. Open and review federal cases. File documents through e-filing system. Redact and bates stamp all discovery to be uploaded to USA File Exchange for opposing counsel to view. Close and purge files once judgments have been put in place. Provide assistance to attorneys in trial preparation. Assemble exhibits, affidavits, and other legal documents. Arrange travel by preparing itinerary and securing transportation and hotel reservations. Producing a variety of written documents and materials using a wide range of office software applications.
