I was unfulfilled as a lawyer and took space to figure out what was next. I worked to deepen my family connections, recover from burn-out, and explore a number of creative outlets. As I got to know myself better I began looking for an aligned, meaningful career path forward. Ultimately, I returned to grad school to become a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Founded a transactional law firm and managed a small staff. Served over 200 small business clients.
Instructed and supervised student attorneys serving small business and non-profit clients. Community Innovation and Equity Project students work in the areas of rural entrepreneurship efforts, technologies created to advance social justice, and the intersections between small business ownership and immigration law.
Convened thirty-five voluntary health organizations to advance the policy interests of Coloradans living with chronic disease. Duties included substantive policy analysis, managing lobbying efforts, and administrative functions including grant writing, budget and finance, and operations.
