Propelled by a strong entrepreneurial drive, Allen's determination to establish his own business has been unwavering since his youth. From early on, he embraced business opportunities with remarkable enthusiasm. He started by engaging in school-led lemonade sales and ventured into entrepreneurship with his photography business in 2017. Allen's family and close circle also share this entrepreneurial spirit. His parents managed a cleaning business, and his cousin succeeded with a coffee shop in the Philippines. These influences solidified Allen's ambition to create his own business legacy. During high school, he fostered relationships with like-minded entrepreneurs from Hypexchange, Soigné Toronto, and Alliance Apparel, collaborating with businesses that shared his passion. This spirit extended to his advocacy for peers' growth, exemplified through his partnership with his barber from District Barbershop. Allen's dedication to entrepreneurship shone during the DECA provincials, where he demonstrated skills in recognizing opportunities, market research, capital sourcing, and management. In his photography career, Allen completed 85 projects, gaining insights from other businesses to refine his strategies. Despite COVID-19 challenges, he pivoted to product photography, forming a team to collaborate with companies. He explored real estate and professional photography, adapting to changing demands. Parallel to photography, Allen studied Small Business and Entrepreneurship at Seneca Polytechnic, gaining practical skills, crafting business plans, and learning frameworks like the Business Model Canvas. Pursuing further education at Ted Rogers School of Management, he co-founded Eighth Floor Advisors while studying entrepreneurial sales techniques. Allen's academic journey delved into entrepreneurship's theoretical foundations and identifying diverse opportunities. He explored international business, honing skills in market entry strategies. Beyond academia, he engaged in numerous conferences, attended over ten in a year, and contributed to student groups like Toronto Metropolitan University Toastmasters and Women in Technology Management, refining sales and marketing skills while gaining insights into non-profit operations.
