Hey everyone! I'm Allan Garratt and I am a senior at Ball State University. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor's Degree in Sport Administration with a Minor in Marketing. I decided to go down this path because ever since I was a kid, I have always had a passion for sports, specifically Golf and Basketball. When I decided to transfer from Ivy Tech to Ball State, it only made sense that I would pursue a degree that was focused around sports. During my time here, I have volunteered at different venues along with different sports. I have volunteered at Lucas Oil Stadium with the CSC, Indianapolis Motor Speedway for Rule the Road, and at Ball State for numerous basketball events. As a Marketing Minor, I have had numerous opportunities to work with Microsoft tools like PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. I use these different tools to create presentations and campaigns for certain projects that I have had during my time at Ball State. I also have honed my skills in data visualization and insight. I have always had a passion for numbers, so having the opportunity to identify and tell a story about what the numbers mean has been a big skill of mine. I have numerous aspirations for when I finish with college. I want to get into the basketball industry as a scout. I have always enjoyed the analytical part of the basketball industry where people travel and watch other players that may be a great fit for your organization in the near future. I also have interest in working in the golf industry, as I said earlier, golf has been a big passion of mine, so working in golf, mainly in marketing or tournament operations would be very optimal for me.
